Profiling‭ ‬&‭ ‬Investigative Psychology Applications For The Private Market

Anchor 1

Online profile-based consulting

This service is provided in situations where a profile has been previously constructed, while negotiating business or interaction continues on an ongoing basis: sensitive activity need be conducted versus external objects or internal organization, and various factors are changing dynamically with time and circumstance. Sometimes it is very difficult to predict what the other side's next move will be. The service provides real-time profiling support for strategy in the long or short term. It is delivered via participation in meetings with the subject him/herself as an advisory factor and/or in meetings with the client afterwards.

The service is based on the psychological & behavioral profile together with online verbal and nonverbal behavioral assessment of the subject. It also relies on updated and validated psychological research findings in relevant fields, such as emplacement, decision-making and bargaining.

Assessing & interviewing candidates for a senior/sensitive position

This service provides an assessment of all the relevant and less visible behavioral characteristics of a potential candidate by analyzing all known related material. The interview strategy and questioning are custom designed, emphasizing specific features such as the level of reliability, future intentions and main motives. The consultation can be carried out independently as a standalone measure, or as an "add-on" layer on top of the recruitment system used by the company/client.

Credibility assessment & lie detection, spokesman reliability analysis, and written content analysis

This service is based on the administration of professional polygraph tests to suspects and complainants; to new employees in the course of the absorption process; or to regular employees for periodical assessment.

Frontal interviewing and questioning provide new angles and information about the interviewee and/or a relevant event in which he/she participated. These questioning techniques reveal information that cannot be discovered in classic interviews and may be crucial to the client.

The service includes verbal and nonverbal behavioral analysis: content examination using 'reality monitoring,' together with cross comparisons with the most updated findings in body language and behavior via 'micro expressions.' These tools can provide additional information about emotions and thoughts the subject might try to hide.

Cognitive interviews

The cognitive interview is a structured method for retrieving information about a specific event from a person's memory. The method was developed for use by law enforcement forensic agencies as a substitute for hypnosis. It is a systematic process of constructing an interrogation under controlled conditions, in which the interviewer uses known psychological models in order to help the witness/victim recall as many details and accurate information as possible from the incident under examination.

The method is based on accumulated scientific knowledge about how people collect stimuli from the environment, process and store them in memory.

The interview focuses on accessing information that hasn't been absorbed due to misdirected attention, or has been absorbed crudely without a processing link between this information and the information held in memory.

The objective is to try to elicit information, not extract information.
